A Signaturely report is an inventory—not a complete backup

Last materially reviewed 2026-09-21

Quick answerUse the owner report to reconcile identifiers and records, while checking which artifacts it actually contains.
What to know

What the documented report provides

Signaturely’s help says the owner can request a year-specific report from company settings, delivered as CSV by email. Listed fields include creation and update dates, sender and signer details, document ID, account path and audit-log information. The description supports an inventory use. It does not establish that the CSV contains every signed file, template, permission or item required to recreate a working account elsewhere.

What to know

Match the report to a clear question

An inventory can help answer which requests exist and how they relate to stored outputs. Decide the period and purpose before generating it. A count of rows is not automatically a count of completed agreements or unique customers. Compare the actual field definitions and a small known example. Do not turn an unfamiliar status or missing value into a confident business conclusion without understanding what the report represents.

What to know

Handle the CSV as private data

The documented contents can include names, addresses and document references. Keep the report in an approved location and avoid uploading it to public spreadsheet converters or diagnostic tools. Share only the portion needed for an authorized task. This site does not accept report uploads. If you create a demonstration of the reconciliation method, use clearly fictional rows that cannot be mistaken for actual customer or agreement records.

What to know

Test the recovery claim separately

To call something a backup, establish what can be restored and how that was verified. A successful report download alone is insufficient. Check the corresponding signed output and audit record for a harmless known sample, then record remaining gaps. Do not delete the source account because a CSV arrived. Use the version-map and audit guides to keep inventory, exported artifacts and restoration capabilities distinct.

Continue when useful

Next: Keep the signed document and its audit trail together

Retain the output and the record that identifies its request; one is not a substitute for the other.
